Those who have worn make-up all their lives often want to continue doing so when they get older. And those who haven't dared to do it yet can still start now. Even small tricks and simple techniques can help you create your perfect make-up with an even complexion without masking yourself or forcing yourself to look younger.
Make-up artist and founder of JACKS beauty line, Miriam Jacks, shares three tips that can help you:
Tip #1: The basis of a beautiful makeup look is proper care and preparation.
"Many women's facial hair becomes more intense as they get older. This can make it harder to apply your foundation or make your makeup look less even and therefore less natural. That's why I recommend regularly removing the fine fuzz on your face. This is also known as dermaplaning. It is a manual exfoliation technique that scrapes off the top layer of skin and removes fine fuzz. I prefer to use the Hollywood Browzer and move the blade over the skin at a 90° angle in the direction of hair growth. It's enough if you do this once a month."
Tip #2: Find the right foundation and shade.
" My most important lesson with makeup is: less is more. This is even more true with foundation. I therefore recommend the Glow Foundation from JACKS beauty line because it contains valuable moisturizing and nourishing ingredients such as bisabolol, hyaluronic acid and squalane. If you prefer to stick with your current foundation, you can mix your face cream into the foundation for an extra portion of care. Please stay away from heavily covering makeup, it makes the skin look older.
The right color of your foundation is also a crucial part of your makeup: To see if the color is a 100 percent match, you should apply a few drops of the foundation to your neck. If the color there blends with your own skin tone, it is ideal. Make sure not to use a darker tone. This also makes your skin look older."
Tip #3: Accentuate your lips with lipstick.
"Color on your lips makes you look younger and fresher. You can either go for a natural lip color or a strong red . The lip liner from UND GRETEL is very practical for this. You can apply the wax pencil around the lip contour, which prevents the color from running. Use the colored side to go over the entire surface of your lips. Then apply the lipstick of your choice to your lips.
Make sure the color of the lip liner matches the color of your lipstick. As for the finish of the lipstick, moisturizing options are preferable to avoid the lips looking chapped or fine lines becoming visible."
