Chemical peels are skincare products that gently dissolve and remove dead skin cells using fruit acids or other mild acids such as AHA and PHA. Unlike mechanical peels, which physically abrade the skin surface with granular particles or brushes, chemical peels work through biochemical exfoliation. This process breaks down the bonds between dead cells, allowing them to detach more easily from the skin surface and be removed.

This method is particularly gentle and effective because it does not irritate or microscopically damage the skin, promotes cell regeneration, smooths and refines the skin texture, cleanses pores, and reduces impurities without overly stressing the skin barrier. Therefore, chemical peels are ideal for sensitive, dry, or mature skin.

The Balancing Serum was developed to soothe sensitive, stressed skin, provide moisture, and smooth fine lines. It visibly reduces redness and irritation, strengthens the skin barrier with fermented barley extract, and makes the skin appear smoother and more radiant. It can be used daily in the morning and evening. The Exfoliating Serum, on the other hand, acts as a gentle peel with AHA and PHA complexes. It refines pores, reduces pigmentation spots, and ensures an even, radiant complexion. Due to its exfoliating effect, it should be used a maximum of 2–3 times per week in the evening.

In short: The Balancing Serum protects and soothes the skin in everyday life, while the Exfoliating Serum gently renews the skin and refines the complexion.

Exfoliating serum and self-tan drops should always be used on different days or at different times of the day, as their effects can otherwise conflict. The serum stimulates skin renewal and removes dead skin cells, while the self-tan drops tan the top layer of the skin. This can cause the tan to become uneven or not develop at all. Using them separately protects the skin and ensures an even result.

It is best to use the exfoliating serum 1-2 times a week in the evening, and the self-tan drops on the days when no serum is used. Alternatively, the self-tan drops can be applied in the morning, ideally the day after using the exfoliating serum. This way, an even, streak-free tan is easily achieved while keeping the skin smooth and well cared for.

All our skincare products are developed for sensitive skin and dermatologically tested. In a 12-week consumer study, more than 150 people tested the products individually or in combination – including participants with rosacea or atopic dermatitis, who tolerated the products very well.

Except for our Day Cream, none of the products in our Skincare line are actually pH-neutral in the chemical sense, meaning they have a value of around 7. Because that is precisely what “pH-neutral” means. 

In cosmetics, however, the term “pH-neutral” is often used differently: manufacturers frequently mean “skin-friendly” or “skin-neutral,” referring to a pH value that is as close as possible to the skin’s natural acid mantle. 

That’s why our products are deliberately formulated in the mildly acidic range, as this is closest to the skin’s natural pH (between 4.7 and 5.5). This mildly acidic environment supports the skin’s protective barrier, maintains the natural microbiome balance, and helps keep the skin resilient.

For the Night Cream, the Balancing Serum, and the Exfoliating Serum, we chose an airless system for the packaging. It is a glass bottle with a flexible plastic pouch inside that gradually shrinks as the product is dispensed. This allows the product to be used up to the last drop, as no residue remains in the bottle. At the same time, the product stays hygienic because the pouch is airtight, preventing bacteria or oxidation from entering. Another advantage is sustainability: after use, the plastic pouch can be easily removed from the bottle, allowing glass and plastic to be disposed of separately. This enables the recycling of the materials.

Of course, you can exchange unopened products within two weeks. Please note that the products must be completely sealed, as otherwise we cannot resell them and will have to dispose of them. If you are unsure, we recommend ordering our testers in advance.
