Do you want to make your eyes shine with eyeshadow and give your gaze more expression? In this article, we show you how to apply our eyeshadows step by step and share helpful tips from our beauty experts. This way, you can achieve a beautiful eye Make-up, even as a beginner.

Our matte and shimmering eyeshadows are versatile and perfect for everyday use when you want a natural look, but also for special occasions when the look can be a bit more exciting. Depending on the application, whether with a dry, wet, tightly bound, or soft brush, you can enhance or refine the result.

Before you start: Discover the refill system of our eyeshadow palette and create your favorite colors yourself

You can customize our eyeshadow palette entirely according to your preferences and wishes. It is helpful to choose a good mix of light, medium, and dark shades. Or you can simply follow the already curated palettes by make-up artist and beauty expert Miriam Jacks.

Step 1: Preparation

Clean your eyelids thoroughly to remove any oil or dirt. You don't need an eyeshadow base or primer for our eyeshadows, you can apply them directly to your eyelid.

Step 2: Apply clay for foundation

Apply a light eyeshadow to the entire eyelid. The base with an eyeshadow helps you to blend the other colors better and forms the basis for your eye make-up. For this you can use the matte shade Ivory , for example. You can also apply this shade slightly under the eye or on the lower lash line - this way your mascara won't run. If you prefer a shimmering base shade, you can use our Champagne eyeshadow.

Step 3: Apply light color to the inner corner

Choose a light eye shadow such as champagne and apply it to the inner corner of your eye with an eye shadow brush. This light color opens up the look and makes your eyes shine. Light tones are also great as a highlight under the eyebrow.

Step 4: Emphasize the eyelid crease

Choose a matte eyeshadow like the warm Cinnamon or the cooler Taupe to contour your crease. Start at the outer corner of your eye and gently blend the color inwards. This will give your eyes more definition and depth.

Step 5: Apply medium color to the mobile eyelid

Use a shimmery shade such as bronze or the bright shade berry and apply it to the eyelid with an eyeshadow brush.

Beauty expert tip: You can intensify shimmering colors by applying them with a damp brush. This creates a metallic effect.

Step 6: Place dark colors

You can use dark eye shadows like aubergine or dark brown to make your upper lash line appear thicker. To do this, draw an eyeliner with a narrow brush. If you want to create smoky eyes, you can blend the dark eye shadow from the outer corner of the eye to the crease.

Step 7: Blending

The secret to a successful eyeshadow look is blending. Take a clean and loosely tied eyeshadow brush like our #16 Blender Brush and blend the colors again to create soft transitions.

Step 8: Mascara

Apply mascara to your upper and lower lashes to complete the look.

In summary, one can say:

  • Light, matte eyeshadows are ideal for priming the eyelid.
  • Place light, shimmering tones under the eyebrow and in the inner corner of the eye for highlights and a bright look
  • Matte brown tones are ideal for emphasizing the eyelid crease.
  • Metallic and bright tones are applied to the eyelid.
  • Dark eye shadows are applied close to the lash line and the outer corner of the eye. This makes your eyelashes appear fuller.

Have fun trying it out!
