A true matter close to our hearts: Every year in October, we at JACKS beauty line raise awareness for Breast Cancer Awareness Month with our Pink Charity Edition. To match, we develop a new limited edition product each year – of course, in pink!

Together with DKMS, we want to give absolute attention to the extremely important topic of breast cancer prevention and remind people to get regular check-ups – and above all, to perform self-examinations! This campaign is especially close to us, and especially to JACKS beauty line founder Miriam, because three women in her family have been diagnosed with breast cancer, and she has witnessed firsthand the long and difficult journey of this disease.
With this campaign, we not only want to do something good – but also raise awareness of how important regular preventive examinations and check-ups are. Early detection can save lives: because breast cancer can affect any of us.

About 71,000 women in Germany are diagnosed with breast cancer each year. With around 30 percent of all cancer cases, it is the most common cancer among women in Germany. Regular screenings and self-examination of the breasts are key in the fight against this deadly disease.
50% of the proceeds from our Pink Charity Edition in October will be donated to the Look Good Feel Better program by DKMS, which offers free cosmetic seminars to help cancer patients cope with the external changes during cancer therapy.

1. Stand in front of a mirror and check your breasts for visible changes such as redness, swelling or dimpling.
2. Raise your arms and look at your breasts again.
3. Use your fingertips to gently palpate your breast. Start at the outer edge and move in circular motions towards the nipple. Use your left hand for the right breast and vice versa.
4. Watch for changes: Look for lumps, hardening or other unusual sensations.
5. Don't forget to check your armpits for swelling or lumps.
If you notice any changes or are unsure, do not hesitate to consult a medical professional. Early detection can save lives!
