Miriam's festive look is all about glowy make-up , which is perfect for the Christmas holidays . The focus here is on subtly shimmering eyes combined with a striking lipstick. A look that not only lasts throughout the day and evening, but is more glamorous than everyday make-up without looking too much.
APPLY FOUNDATION AND CONCEALER
Products: Glow Foundation , Cream Concealer , #11 Mini Foundation Brush or #12 Foundation Brush
Since you sometimes drink a glass of champagne on the holidays, which can cause your face to become red more quickly, I like to use a higher coverage. To do this, I mix the Glow Foundation and the Cream Concealer in the same shade on the back of my hand. This gives you a higher coverage, which covers up redness while still keeping your complexion even.
I then apply the mixed products over a large area of my face using the #12 foundation brush. Alternatively, you can use the #11 mini foundation brush to apply the mixed products in dabbing motions to achieve even greater coverage.
To conceal your dark circles, you can now use the #11 Mini Foundation Brush to apply your concealer in a lighter shade under your eyes.
APPLY POWDER
Products: Pressed Powder and #9 Mini Powder & Concealer Brush
In the next step, I set the make-up and prepare my eyelid for the next steps. The best way to do this is to use the #9 Mini Powder & Concealer Brush and the Pressed Powder in your shade. I take some product and apply the powder around my eyes. This will set the concealer in place, and also provide a base so that mascara and other products don't smudge so easily.
APPLY GLOWY BRONZER
Products: Contouring Powder , Bronzer , Cream Highlighter and #13 Blush & Contouring Brush
Now that we have created an even complexion, we will give the skin some contour. To do this, I first use the Contouring Powder and the #13 Blush & Contouring Brush. I start at the back of the cheek and stroke the brush forwards. Make sure that you do not go too far down or too far forwards, otherwise your facial features will be emphasized downwards rather than upwards.
In addition to the contouring powder, I now use the bronzer and the pressed highlighter in dark. This combination gives you a special shimmer effect. To do this, I first apply the bronzer and then the pressed highlighter in dark on top. I apply this very discreetly and gently blend the two products together.
APPLYING EYE MAKEUP
Products: Cream Highlighter and #16 Precise Blender Brush
To give my eyes a shine and make them stand out more, I use the Pressed Highlighter in Dark. I apply it to my entire eyelid with the #16 Precise Blender Brush and blend it slightly.
Be careful not to use too much product at once. You can prevent this by tapping your brush, for example. If the result is too subtle for you, it's better to apply the product a second time instead of using a lot from the start.
EYE CONTOURING
Products: Contouring Powder and #17 Mini Blender Brush
Now that my eyelid is accentuated, I'm going to focus on the crease. To do this, I use the Contouring Powder and the #17 Mini Blender Brush . I use it to pick up some product and gently apply it to the crease and lower eyelid. This contours the eye, makes it stand out even more and makes it shine more.
DEFINING EYEBROWS
Products: Contouring Powder and #4 Eyebrow Brush
Of course, radiant eyes also require matching eyebrows. I use the contouring powder again and pick up some product with the #4 eyebrow brush. I use this to line my eyebrows and emphasize them subtly and softly. In the same step, I also devote myself to my eyelashes, which I apply a simple mascara.
APPLY LIPSTICK
Products: Lipstick in Dark Red and #15 Lip Brush
In the last step, I now turn my attention to the lips. The lipstick in dark red is perfect for the Christmas holidays and quickly creates an impressive look. I apply it with the #15 lip brush . This brush is perfect for on the go, as you can easily put it together and freshen up your lipstick during the party or after dinner. You don't even have to have the whole lipstick with you, just use the remaining product that is still stuck to the brush.
And Miriam's festive look is ready! Glowy, subtle, but still special and Christmassy. In our next guide, you'll learn more about how to apply lipstick correctly so that it lasts longer.
