Redness, inflammation or pimples often make you feel uncomfortable in your own skin. They also make everyday make-up more difficult, as it can be difficult to conceal them in a subtle or “natural-looking” way.
However, there are some tips and tricks that you can use to make your skin glow even if you have minor skin problems - without overtaxing your skin.
Make-up artist and founder of JACKS beauty line, Miriam Jacks, gives you three tips for a radiant make-up look:
TIP #1: THE BASIS OF A BEAUTIFUL MAKE-UP LOOK IS THE RIGHT CARE AND PREPARATION
"Especially if you have problem skin, I would always recommend that you visit a good dermatologist who can put together a care regimen that is optimally tailored to you and your skin's needs. As a basic care regimen, you should wash your face in the morning and evening. When it comes to facial care, I generally recommend starting with a serum (possibly in combination with an oil). This should be followed by a face cream (with sun protection factor during the day) and finally a rich eye cream."
Important : Allow your skincare product to absorb thoroughly before applying your makeup.
TIP #2: FIND THE RIGHT FOUNDATION AND SHADE
"My most important lesson in make-up is: less is more. This is even more true when it comes to foundation. That's why I recommend the Glow Foundation from JACKS beauty line because it contains valuable, moisturizing and nourishing ingredients such as bisabolol, hyaluronic acid and squalane. In addition, the feedback we receive about the foundation from women with rosacea, neurodermatitis and other skin problems is consistently positive.
The right tone of your foundation is a crucial factor in creating natural makeup: To see if the color matches 100 percent, you should apply a few drops of the foundation to your neck. Since the Glow Foundation is rather light, you can mix it with our Cream Concealer in the same color for more coverage. By mixing, you get a more even finish than if you were applying the products individually."

TIP #3: EMPHASIZE CERTAIN AREAS OF THE FACE
“ Accentuated eyes or bright lipstick are great ways to distract from supposedly bad skin. My basic idea is to always focus on the things on your face that you like most about yourself. The color on your lips makes you look fresher. You can really go wild here. Either go for a strong red, a dark color or something fruity and bright. First apply the lipstick all over your lips and then fill in the contour with the #15 lip brush.
If you prefer to accentuate your eyes, you can distract with beautiful eye make-up: I prime the eyes with a light, nude-colored eye shadow. This ensures that your mascara or eyeliner doesn't run afterwards. To give the eyes more expression, it's best to apply a strong eyeliner with a darker eye shadow and the #4 eyebrow brush . If you're not experienced at this, you can then blend it out with the #5 mini eye shadow brush ."
Important: Avoid applying a lot of dark eyeshadow as it can smudge throughout the day and make your skin look less soft.
