Pigment spots are often one of the most unwanted changes to the skin. They are difficult to conceal and even more difficult to get rid of, but there are ways to create flawless make-up even with pigment spots.
Make-up artist and founder of JACKS beauty line, Miriam Jacks, gives you three tips for a radiant make-up look:
Tip #1: The basis of a beautiful makeup look is proper care and preparation.
"Pigment spots are caused by UV radiation, which is why I recommend that you never go without sun protection, even in autumn. This may not sound logical at first, but you should always remember that UV rays can penetrate even thick clouds and have nothing to do with direct sunlight. Dermatologists recommend a sun protection factor of 30-50 - you can apply this daily under your make-up."
Important: Allow the sunscreen to absorb properly before applying your foundation.
Tip #2: Find the right shade and the right coverage!
"The first step is to find the right foundation shade for you. Our Foundation & Shade Finder, for example, can help you choose the color. If you are still not sure, you can book a free color consultation with one of our beauty experts . Once the right color has been found, it's time to look at the coverage. We want to avoid a plastered look at all costs, but skin with pigment spots still needs a little more coverage for a balanced complexion. The Glow Foundation covers lightly and evens out the skin tone. To increase the coverage a little, I like to mix in some of the Cream Concealer in the same color as the Glow Foundation. The more concealer you add, the higher the coverage - try out what you like best."
Tip #3: Color distracts!
"Distraction naturally also means having the courage to use colour, which is why I like to recommend a bright red shade like the lipstick from JACKS beauty line in the colour "Signature Red" . I first apply this to the entire surface of the lips and then fill in the contour with the lip brush #15 . If you don't like red, you can of course choose another strong colour."
Tip: First apply a little concealer to your lip contour using concealer brush #8 and then set it with a little powder. This ensures that the lip contour looks nicer, the lipstick lasts longer and runs less.
