It's amazing how well you like our make-up products. And thank you for the great feedback! We've been busy answering all your questions about Glow Foundation & Co. over the last few days - and have summarized the most important answers here in this Quick Q&A.
Q: Not much foundation comes out of the pipette!
A: "Most women use too much foundation," says Miriam Jacks. "That's why the Glow Foundation comes in a bottle with a pipette. The glass pipette is bent a little on purpose. It's not defective. I wanted less foundation to come out of the pipette. Because less is more, ladies!"
Q: The contents of the bottle settle on the glass.
A: Due to the numerous care ingredients, it is important that you shake the Glow Foundation well before each use.
Q: The foundation looks a bit streaky on my skin.
A: That can also happen and is probably due to two things. Firstly, our Glow Foundation is very rich, so we would recommend that you do not apply too much care underneath. Also give it a little time until your care has been properly absorbed. Secondly, it could be due to cleaning your beauty tools. For example, if you apply our Glow Foundation with our Foundation Brush #12 , we recommend that you regularly wash your brush with our Brush Soap.
Q: How do I find the right shade?
A: Please take a look at our Shade Finder . There you will find various ways in which we can help you find the right shade.
Q: The Glow Foundation doesn't cover much for me. What can I do?
A: In such cases, we recommend mixing our Glow Foundation with our Cream Concealer . This combination usually provides good coverage.
Q: The bronzer is too strong for me.
A: Our bronzer is suitable for all skin types. You can choose the intensity yourself and use it to achieve a super soft result as well as a strong bronzed look. For a softer result, we have a few tips for you:
Tip No1 : Blend your bronzer properly onto your skin! Swiping back and forth twice is not enough. Often the bronzer looks too dark or patchy because it has not been blended well enough.
Tip No. 2 : Tap the brush well before applying the bronzer to your face. This will prevent you from having too much product on your brush.
Tip No3 : If the bronzer is too dark or patchy, wipe your brush on a tissue and then work the bronzer into the skin in circular movements.
Tip No4: For a super soft result, we recommend using our soft powder brush #10 instead of brush #13. With it, you will achieve a very natural result!
Q: Do I need a primer?
A: This is definitely not necessary. The Glow Foundation makes your skin look even without primer.
Q: What should I do if the foundation is too light or too dark?
A: Miriam Jacks recommends having two shades for the year anyway: a lighter one for winter, a darker one for summer. For the times in between, you can easily mix the two shades together on the back of your hand. Tip: Next spring we're launching a mini foundation that you can use to mix your make-up lighter and darker as you like.
Q: My powder is settling too much.
A: Basically, powder is not suitable for every skin type. In such cases, we recommend applying the powder in parts rather than over a large area. This is best done with our #9 powder & concealer brush . Then apply the powder only to certain areas, such as under the eyes to set the concealer and prevent the mascara from smudging, or on the sides of the nose.
Q: Can I cover my pigment spots?
A: It is not possible to properly cover pigment spots with our products. It is something we generally do not recommend. Miriam's tip: "Don't try to cover something up too hard, because unfortunately it usually shows through anyway. Instead, distract from your supposed flaw by applying bronzer to your cheeks or a bright lipstick."
Q: Don't your brushes absorb too much product?
A: No, because our make-up brushes are 100% vegan. Synthetic hair uses significantly less product because it stays on the smooth hair fiber. Whereas natural hair brushes, due to their structure, tend to absorb liquid and creamy products rather than distribute them well on the face.
