A few weeks ago, it was quiet on our store - out of solidarity and shock. We then asked you to shop with us despite all the circumstances and promised to donate all the proceeds that came in over the weekend. And that's what we did! And because this wouldn't have been possible without you, we would of course also like to tell you where an incredible €20,000 was donated.
We decided to split the amount in order to support two different organizations. We donated half of the money to Ewa Herzog . Ewa Herzog is a designer from Berlin who started the #onewayride . Together with countless helpers, donations are collected, sorted and then brought to Ukraine by truck - one way ! This means that the trucks and the drivers will not leave Ukraine afterwards to go to war, but it also means that the donations will go exactly where they are needed most - right there!
We donated the second €10,000 to SOS Children's Villages , which helps with the evacuation and care of refugee families and children . The organization also provides emergency accommodation, food and psychological care.
We are so happy to be able to donate such a large sum with your help & of course we are still committed. We will continue to call for donations in our live streams. We are also working on continuing to use part of our income for good causes.
