In Germany alone, almost half a million people get cancer every year, one of them was Carl Jakob Haupt. The artist, author and blogger died of stomach cancer at the age of just 34. Carl Jakob became known, among other things, for his blog "Dandy Diary" and the parties he regularly organized before the start of the annual Berlin Fashion Week. After his early death in April 2019, his wife Giannina Haupt founded the Carl Jakob Haupt Organization.
The organization arranges chemo sponsors who help patients with their daily lives during and after chemotherapy and provides patients and their relatives who are less well off financially with short breaks to recover after or between chemotherapy.
The responsibilities of the chemo sponsors include:
- to chemotherapy
- running errands
- Keeping company at home
- accompany you on a walk
- help with applications and forms
- talk to the patient on the phone
- help in the household
- Pick up children from school / bring them to school
- take care of my pet
Our commitment
In 2020, we took World Cancer Day as an opportunity to donate 30% of our daily income to what we consider to be a very special organization and thus support the Carl Jakob Haupt Foundation in its valuable work.
