In Germany alone, nearly half a million people are diagnosed with cancer each year, one of them was Carl Jakob Haupt. The artist, author, and blogger passed away at only 34 years old from stomach cancer. Carl Jakob became known, among other things, through his blog "Dandy Diary" and the parties he regularly hosted before the start of the annual Berlin Fashion Week. After his early death in April 2019, his wife Giannina Haupt founded the Carl Jakob Haupt Organization.

3. Our Commitment
The Carl Jakob Haupt Foundation was established in 2020 to preserve the memory of the artist, author, and activist of the same name. Its goal is to bring the topic of cancer out of the taboo zone and to support especially young people with cancer. With projects like the chemo sponsorships, the foundation advocates for more visibility, education, and concrete support, always with the aim of conveying courage, hope, and joy of life.
The "Chemo Sponsors" project by the Carl Jakob Haupt Foundation supports children with cancer and their families with practical everyday help – and with loving emotional support. The organization connects volunteer sponsors who accompany the young patients before, during, and after their chemotherapy. Whether as a listener, helper, or simply a reliable contact person – the support is as individual as the families' needs.
The tasks of the chemo sponsors include, for example:
For children currently undergoing treatment, the foundation also organizes regular small surprise packages, individually assembled and lovingly wrapped.
Already in 2020, we took World Cancer Day as an opportunity to actively support the important work of the Carl Jakob Haupt Foundation. On this day, we donated 30% of our daily revenue to the foundation – out of full conviction and with the desire to contribute to more humanity, care, and hope.
The Carl Jakob Haupt Foundation is a very special organization for us because it helps where help is truly needed – directly with those affected.
