Application

Step 4 of your skincare routine

In the morning and evening, after your serum but before your day or night cream, apply a small amount, about the size of a pea, to both eye areas and gently massage in. 

Our beauty experts' tip: Gently tap the eye cream in with your fingertips. This is not only very gentle but also stimulates microcirculation and helps reduce puffiness. Like a little lymphatic drainage! Simply tap lightly with your fingertips around the eyes and apply the cream in circular motions.

Development

All our JACKS skincare products are created through close collaboration between Miriam Jacks and an experienced German cosmetics manufacturer in Berlin. Over two years of development work went into every formulation – from the initial idea to the final test. Our focus is on plant stem cells, carefully selected active ingredients like retinal and Centella Asiatica, as well as a holistic well-aging approach that lovingly supports skin at every age.

Every detail – from texture, scent, and compatibility to the packaging concept – is checked multiple times and personally approved by Miriam Jacks and her team. A product only goes into production if its effectiveness convinces, the skin feel delights, and the quality is flawless. This way, you get care that doesn’t fight against time but strengthens and brightens your skin daily – with responsibility, transparency, and a high standard for effectiveness and sustainability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Should only the Eye Cream be applied to the eye area?

Yes, for the eye area we exclusively recommend using the Eye Cream. The skin around the eyes is particularly thin and sensitive. Products like day or night creams for the face often contain stronger active ingredients or a richer texture, which can be too heavy or cause irritation for the eye area. Our Eye Cream is specially tailored to these needs: it smooths fine lines and crow's feet, reduces puffiness and dark circles thanks to paracress and caffeine, and strengthens the skin structure with alpine rose stem cells and peptides – for a bright, fresh look without irritation.

What skin type is the skincare line suitable for?

It is suitable for all skin types – including sensitive skin. The formula has been dermatologically tested for sensitive skin and is especially well tolerated.

Are the products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes, like all our products, our skincare products are vegan and cruelty-free.

How long do the products last once opened?

When stored correctly (in a dark, cool place), the products have a shelf life of 6 months after opening, as indicated on the packaging.

Does the skincare line contain perfume?

When developing our products, compatibility is our top priority – without compromising on a pleasant skincare experience. As some natural ingredients have a stronger natural scent, we have made a conscious decision to add a subtle fragrance to the Milky Toner, Balancing Serum, Exfoliating Serum and Night Cream. However, this fragrance is only used in a very low concentration and contains just a single potential allergen. Compared to many conventional skincare products, which typically have more than 20 allergens, this means a significantly lower or even negligible likelihood of skin reactions. This makes the product very well-tolerated, even for sensitive skin.

What is the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?

Dry skin is a skin type that naturally contains less oil. It feels permanently rough or flaky. Dehydrated skin, on the other hand, is a skin condition in which the skin's water content is too low. It often feels tight, especially after cleansing, looks dull and can show fine lines. Whether your skin is dry or dehydrated can be identified by whether it is permanently dry or only temporarily affected by external factors such as cold, heat, stress, lack of sleep or unsuitable skincare. Dry and dehydrated skin can occur independently of each other, but can also exist simultaneously.

Which skin types participated in the consumer study?

Our consumer study included participants with a wide range of skin types – from dry and normal to oily skin. Participants with sensitive skin as well as skin conditions such as eczema or rosacea were also included. This allowed us to ensure that our products are suitable for a broad variety of skin types and skin needs.

Can I also use the products if I have rosacea or neurodermatitis?

All our skincare products are developed for sensitive skin and have been dermatologically tested. In a consumer study over 12 weeks, more than 150 people tested the products individually or in combination – including participants with rosacea or eczema, who tolerated the products very well.
However, for existing skin conditions, a doctor should always be consulted beforehand. On our website you will find an overview of all ingredients, so you can check whether any specific ingredients are included that you may prefer to avoid.

What are the pH ranges of the skincare products?
  • Day Cream: 7.0-7.3
  • Milky Toner: 5.0-5.3
  • Exfoliating Serum: 3.9-4.1
  • Night Cream: 4.7-5.0
  • Eye Cream: 4.7-5.0
  • Balancing Serum: 4.7-5.0

Except for our Day Cream, none of the products in our skincare line are actually pH-neutral in the chemical sense, meaning a value of about 7. Because that is exactly what "pH-neutral" means. 

In cosmetics, however, the term "pH-neutral" is often used differently: manufacturers often mean "skin-friendly" or "skin-neutral," that is, a pH value that is as close as possible to the skin's natural acid mantle. 

Our products are therefore deliberately formulated in the slightly acidic range because this is closest to the skin's natural pH value (between 4.7 and 5.5). This slightly acidic environment supports the skin's protective barrier, maintains the natural microbiome balance, and ensures that the skin remains resilient.

Can I exchange skincare products?

Of course, you can exchange unopened products within two weeks. Please note that the products must be completely sealed, as otherwise we cannot resell them and will have to dispose of them. If you are unsure, we recommend ordering our testers in advance.
