Für längere Aufenthalte in der direkten Sonne (z. B. am Strand, beim Wandern oder Sport im Freien) empfehlen wir dir, zusätzlich eine speziell formulierte Sonnenpflege zu verwenden – oder die Day Cream SPF 30 regelmäßig nachzucremen.

Wichtig: Sonnenschutz ist auch eine Frage der richtigen Menge. Für optimalen Schutz gilt: Großzügig auftragen und bei längerer Sonnenbelastung regelmäßig nachcremen.

Die Day Cream bietet deiner Haut einen zuverlässigen täglichen Schutz vor Sonnenstrahlen – sowohl im UVB- als auch im UVA-Bereich. Der gemessene UVB-Wert liegt bei 42,4, der UVA-Wert bei 19,6. Während UVB-Strahlen vor allem für Sonnenbrand verantwortlich sind und die oberen Hautschichten angreifen, dringen UVA-Strahlen tiefer in die Haut ein und gelten als Hauptursache für vorzeitige Hautalterung und Pigmentverschiebungen.

Wichtig zu wissen: Obwohl die tatsächlichen Schutzwerte über dem klassischen SPF 30 liegen (42,4), dürfen wir aus rechtlichen Gründen nur „SPF 30“ auf die Verpackung schreiben. Das liegt daran, dass Sonnenschutzprodukte in Europa standardisiert in bestimmte Schutzklassen eingeteilt sind.

In der Night Cream ist 1 % eines Retinal-Glycerin-Komplexes enthalten, mit einem reinen Retinalextrakt-Anteil von 0,05 %. Es handelt sich dabei um einen studienbasierten Inhaltsstoff, was bedeutet, dass dessen Wirksamkeit und Sicherheit in wissenschaftlichen Studien nachgewiesen worden ist. Die eingesetzte Retinalkonzentration richtet sich nach den Empfehlungen und Studienergebnissen des Herstellers. Mit dieser Konzentration wurde in den durchgeführten Studien gute Effekte erzielt, sodass eine höhere Einsatzkonzentration kein (deutlich) besseres Ergebnis bringen würde. Außerdem kann eine zu hohe Retinalkonzentration auch negative Effekte haben. Dann wäre das Produkt ggf. auch nicht mehr für jeden Hauttyp und für die tägliche Verwendung geeignet. Daher ist die hier gewählte Konzentration die perfekte Balance zwischen Effektivität und Verträglichkeit.

Die Night Cream enthält Retinal, ein Vitamin‑A‑Derivat, das in der Schwangerschaft nicht verwendet werden sollte. Auch während der Stillzeit wird der Einsatz auf dem Brustbereich vorsorglich nicht empfohlen. Retinal kann, wie andere Vitamin‑A‑Derivate, theoretisch Risiken für das ungeborene Kind bergen, weshalb wir allen schwangeren und stillenden Kundinnen raten, auf alternative Pflegeprodukte ohne Retinal zurückzugreifen oder diese vor Nutzung einmal ärztlich abklären zu lassen. Zusätzlich raten wir Schwangeren und Stillenden, auf exfolierende Produkte mit Säuren wie unserem Exfoliating Serum zu verzichten, da diese die Haut stark stimulieren können.

When developing our products, compatibility is our top priority – without compromising a pleasant care experience. Since some natural ingredients have a stronger inherent scent, we have deliberately chosen to add a subtle fragrance to the Milky Toner, the Balancing Serum, the Exfoliating Serum, and the Night Cream. However, this fragrance is used only in very low concentration and contains only a single potential allergen. Compared to many conventional skincare products, which typically contain over 20 allergens, this means a significantly lower to no likelihood of skin reactions. This makes the product very well tolerated, even for sensitive skin.

Dry skin is a skin type that naturally contains less oil. It feels permanently rough or flaky. Dehydrated skin, on the other hand, is a skin condition where the water content of the skin is too low. It often feels tight, especially after cleansing, looks dull, and may show fine lines. You can tell whether your skin is dry or dehydrated by whether it is permanently dry or only temporarily dried out due to external factors such as cold, heat, stress, lack of sleep, or unsuitable care. Dry and dehydrated skin can occur independently but can also exist simultaneously.

Our consumer study included people with a wide range of skin types – from dry to normal to oily skin. Participants with sensitive skin as well as those with skin conditions such as neurodermatitis or rosacea also took part. This allowed us to ensure that our products are suitable for a broad variety of skin types and skin needs.

All our skincare products are developed for sensitive skin and dermatologically tested. In a consumer study over 12 weeks, more than 150 people tested the products individually or in combination – including participants with rosacea or atopic dermatitis, who tolerated the products very well.

Except for our Day Cream, none of the products in our skincare line are actually pH-neutral in the chemical sense, meaning a value of about 7. Because that is exactly what "pH-neutral" means.

In cosmetics, however, the term "pH-neutral" is often used differently: manufacturers often mean "skin-friendly" or "skin-neutral," that is, a pH value that is as close as possible to the skin's natural acid mantle.

Our products are therefore deliberately formulated in the slightly acidic range because this is closest to the skin's natural pH value (between 4.7 and 5.5). This slightly acidic environment supports the skin's protective barrier, maintains the natural microbiome balance, and ensures that the skin remains resilient.

For the Night Cream, the Balancing Serum, and the Exfoliating Serum, we chose an airless system for the packaging. It is a glass bottle with a flexible plastic pouch inside that gradually shrinks as the product is dispensed. This allows the product to be used up to the last drop, as no residue remains in the bottle. At the same time, the product stays hygienic because the pouch is airtight, preventing bacteria or oxidation from entering. Another advantage is sustainability: after use, the plastic pouch can be easily removed from the bottle, allowing glass and plastic to be disposed of separately. This enables the recycling of the materials.
