The Night Cream contains 1% of a retinal-glycerin complex, with a pure retinal extract content of 0.05%. This is a study-based ingredient, meaning its effectiveness and safety have been proven in scientific studies. The retinal concentration used is based on the manufacturer's recommendations and study results. Good effects were achieved with this concentration in the conducted studies, so a higher concentration would not yield a (significantly) better result. Additionally, too high a retinal concentration can have negative effects. In that case, the product might no longer be suitable for every skin type and for daily use. Therefore, the chosen concentration here is the perfect balance between effectiveness and tolerability.

The Night Cream contains retinal, a vitamin A derivative that should not be used during pregnancy. It is also not recommended to use it on the breast area during breastfeeding as a precaution. Retinal, like other vitamin A derivatives, can theoretically pose risks to the unborn child, which is why we advise all pregnant and breastfeeding customers to use alternative skincare products without retinal or to have it medically reviewed before use. Additionally, we recommend that pregnant and breastfeeding women avoid exfoliating products with acids, such as our Exfoliating Serum, as these can strongly stimulate the skin.

Our Night Cream is not a retinal treatment but a balanced formula with several highly effective ingredients – including our stem cell technology, ceramides, bifida ferment lysate, and 1% of a retinal-glycerin complex, which does not mean it contains 1% pure retinal but a carefully designed blend of the two active ingredients. The concentration of retinal is specifically chosen so that the cream can be used daily without irritating the skin. That is why it does not have the yellowish color typical of highly concentrated retinal products. Studies show that even this mild, continuous dosage contributes to the well-known positive effects of retinal with regular use – gentle but effective. For the Night Cream, the Balancing Serum, and the Exfoliating Serum, we chose an airless system for the packaging. It is a glass bottle with a flexible plastic pouch inside that gradually shrinks as the product is dispensed. This allows the product to be used up to the last drop, as no residue remains in the bottle. At the same time, the product stays hygienic because the pouch is airtight, preventing bacteria or oxidation from entering. Another advantage is sustainability: after use, the plastic pouch can be easily removed from the bottle, allowing glass and plastic to be disposed of separately. This enables the recycling of the materials.

Of course, you can exchange unopened products within two weeks. Please note that the products must be completely sealed, as otherwise we cannot resell them and will have to dispose of them. If you are unsure, we recommend ordering our testers in advance.
