Application

Step 3 of your skincare routine

Apply 1-2 pumps to cleansed skin in the morning and evening after toner. Wait a moment until the product is fully absorbed before continuing with your day or night care. 

Our beauty experts' tip: Skincare should always be applied from light to rich – or from "thin to thick." This way, all active ingredients can penetrate deeply, support each other, and build optimally on one another to care for the skin in the best possible way – and actually up to 3 serums can be used per routine!

THIS IS WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT FROM REGULAR USE OF THE BALANCING SERUM: 

Strengthening the skin barrier and retaining moisture: D-Panthenol and fermented barley extract increase the skin's moisture retention, reduce transepidermal water loss (TEWL), and strengthen the barrier function, protecting the skin from environmental influences such as UV radiation, cold, wind, and dryness.

Soothing redness and skin irritations: D-Panthenol, fermented barley extract, and the vegan postbiotic kefiran have anti-inflammatory effects, relieve skin redness and irritations, and calm the skin after a short time.

Improving skin radiance: Alpine rose extract helps reduce wrinkles and improves the skin's radiance, making it look fresher and more youthful.

Reducing wrinkles and improving skin elasticity: Hyaluronic acid with different molecular sizes penetrates deep into the skin, stores moisture in the connective tissue, and provides a firming and smoothing effect that reduces wrinkles and crow's feet.

Protecting and revitalizing skin stem cells: Alpine rose extract obtained through stem cell technology increases the vitality of epidermal stem cells and protects them from UV-induced stress.

Development

All our JACKS skincare products are created through close collaboration between Miriam Jacks and an experienced German cosmetics manufacturer in Berlin. Over two years of development work went into every formulation – from the initial idea to the final test. Our focus is on plant stem cells, carefully selected active ingredients like retinal and Centella Asiatica, as well as a holistic well-aging approach that lovingly supports skin at every age.

Every detail – from texture, scent, and compatibility to the packaging concept – is checked multiple times and personally approved by Miriam Jacks and her team. A product only goes into production if its effectiveness convinces, the skin feel delights, and the quality is flawless. This way, you get care that doesn’t fight against time but strengthens and brightens your skin daily – with responsibility, transparency, and a high standard for effectiveness and sustainability.

What skin type is the skincare line suitable for?

It is suitable for all skin types – including sensitive skin. The formula has been dermatologically tested for sensitive skin and is especially well tolerated.

Are the products vegan and cruelty-free?

Yes, like all our products, our skincare products are vegan and cruelty-free.

Does the skincare line contain perfume?

When developing our products, compatibility is our top priority – without compromising a pleasant care experience. Since some natural ingredients have a stronger inherent scent, we have deliberately chosen to add a subtle fragrance to the Milky Toner, the Balancing Serum, the Exfoliating Serum, and the Night Cream. However, this fragrance is used only in very low concentration and contains only a single potential allergen. Compared to many conventional skincare products, which typically contain over 20 allergens, this means a significantly lower to no likelihood of skin reactions. This makes the product very well tolerated, even for sensitive skin.

What is the difference between dry and dehydrated skin?

Dry skin is a skin type that naturally contains less oil. It feels permanently rough or flaky. Dehydrated skin, on the other hand, is a skin condition where the water content of the skin is too low. It often feels tight, especially after cleansing, looks dull, and may show fine lines. You can tell whether your skin is dry or dehydrated by whether it is permanently dry or only temporarily dried out due to external factors such as cold, heat, stress, lack of sleep, or unsuitable care. Dry and dehydrated skin can occur independently but can also exist simultaneously.

Which skin types participated in the consumer study?

Our consumer study included people with a wide range of skin types – from dry to normal to oily skin. Participants with sensitive skin as well as those with skin conditions such as neurodermatitis or rosacea also took part. This allowed us to ensure that our products are suitable for a broad variety of skin types and skin needs.

Can I also use the products if I have rosacea or neurodermatitis?

All our skincare products are developed for sensitive skin and dermatologically tested. In a consumer study over 12 weeks, more than 150 people tested the products individually or in combination – including participants with rosacea or atopic dermatitis, who tolerated the products very well.
However, in the case of existing skin conditions, you should always consult a doctor beforehand. On our website, you can find an overview of all ingredients, so you can check whether there are any specific ingredients that should preferably be avoided.

How long do the products last in use?

What are the pH ranges of the skincare products?
  • Day Cream: 7.0-7.3
  • Milky Toner: 5.0-5.3
  • Exfoliating Serum: 3.9-4.1
  • Night Cream: 4.7-5.0
  • Eye Cream: 4.7-5.0
  • Balancing Serum: 4.7-5.0

Except for our Day Cream, none of the products in our skincare line are actually pH-neutral in the chemical sense, meaning a value of about 7. Because that is exactly what "pH-neutral" means. 

In cosmetics, however, the term "pH-neutral" is often used differently: manufacturers often mean "skin-friendly" or "skin-neutral," that is, a pH value that is as close as possible to the skin's natural acid mantle. 

Our products are therefore deliberately formulated in the slightly acidic range because this is closest to the skin's natural pH value (between 4.7 and 5.5). This slightly acidic environment supports the skin's protective barrier, maintains the natural microbiome balance, and ensures that the skin remains resilient.

What is the Airless Pouch?

For the Night Cream, the Balancing Serum, and the Exfoliating Serum, we chose an airless system for the packaging. It is a glass bottle with a flexible plastic pouch inside that gradually shrinks as the product is dispensed. This allows the product to be used up to the last drop, as no residue remains in the bottle. At the same time, the product stays hygienic because the pouch is airtight, preventing bacteria or oxidation from entering. Another advantage is sustainability: after use, the plastic pouch can be easily removed from the bottle, allowing glass and plastic to be disposed of separately. This enables the recycling of the materials.

Can I exchange skincare products?

Of course, you can exchange unopened products within two weeks. Please note that the products must be completely sealed, as otherwise we cannot resell them and will have to dispose of them. If you are unsure, we recommend ordering our testers in advance.

    Ich hätte auch hier nicht gedacht, dass….

    …dass auch das Serum mich so begeistert !Ich habe es bisher nicht für notwendig gehalten, mehr als Tagespflege zu nutzen. Ich wollte die Tagescreme von Jack‘s testen, da sie einen hohen Lichtschutzfaktor hat. Und ich habe mir daraufhin das Probenset mit allen Produkten zur Morgenroutine bestellt.
