Neurodermatitis – Masterclass by Miriam Jacks

In this masterclass, beauty expert and make-up artist Miriam Jacks shares her tips and tricks for uncomplicated make-up for neurodermatitis with style coach, author of "Let yourself be seen: Why your wardrobe can make you happy" and long-time friend Carola Nahnsen.

What is included?

Among other things, you will learn how to correctly use our Glow Foundation and our Cream Concealer on dry skin, how important nourishing make-up products are and how you can work step by step not against but with neurodermatitis and thus create a beautifully natural look.

Step 1: Apply Glow Foundation

Our Glow Foundation is a very lightweight Make-up. However, if you have severe neurodermatitis, we recommend mixing our Glow Foundation with our Beauty Elixir made from pure squalane.

For this, place one pump of your foundation on the back of your hand and mix it with 2-3 drops of the elixir. Start with our #12 Foundation Brush on your cheek and spread the product evenly over your skin. Only then move to your nose or eyes, so you don’t have too much product on the brush in these areas. The Glow Foundation reduces redness and optimally cares for your skin. Our #12 Foundation Brush is wonderfully soft and gentle on the skin. Especially with neurodermatitis, we recommend using a brush instead of your hands.

Beauty experts tip: On areas where your skin is particularly sensitive, we recommend applying the product very gently with the brush or even skipping those spots entirely.

Step 2: Apply cream concealer

To prevent the concealer from settling into fine lines, apply some Beauty Elixir on the back of your hand and mix it with the Cream Concealer. Use gentle tapping motions with our soft #9 Powder & Concealer Brushes to apply it to the dark shadows under your eyes. In areas where the skin is very dry, lightly brush over them with the Brush.

Beauty experts tip: If the Make-up becomes too visible on dry spots, remove it with a bit of Beauty Elixir.

Step 3: Apply Pressed Powder

With our #9 powder & concealer brush, you can easily powder specific areas of your face, like your nose or under your eyes, that you don’t want to shine. But of course, you can decide for yourself whether you want to use powder or not.

Step 4: Apply bronzer

Apply the bronzer from back to front across the cheeks using our #13 Blush & Contouring Brush and blend evenly.

Step 5: Apply Lip Oil & Lipstick

Especially for dry lips, care under the Lipstick is particularly important. Use our #15 lip brush to apply our Lip Oil, for example “Your lips but peachy,” before applying the Lipstick Rosewood directly or with the Brushes on your lips. With the Brushes, you can paint your lip contour a bit more precisely, especially if it is affected by neurodermatitis.

beauty experts tip: Take some Lipstick with our #22 Multi Blender Brush, smile, and apply Rosewood to the highest point of your cheeks, then blend it from front to back.

Step 6: Apply mascara

Start with the upper lash line and place the mascara brush as close to the base of the lashes as possible, then apply mascara evenly to all lashes using zigzag movements. Place the brush very carefully on the lower lash line and pull it downwards.
